Former Japanese Prime-Minister, Deputy of Japanese Parliament’s House of Representatives Yukio Hatoyama Visits METROPOL Group’s Office
On August 27, 2010, former Japanese Prime-Minister, Deputy of
the Japanese Parliament’s House of Representatives Yukio Hatoyama,
payed a private visit to Russia accompanied by his spouse, called
on the office of Investment Financial Company METROPOL, where he
had a meeting with METROPOL General Director М.V. Slipenchuk. The
high-ranking Japanese guest was briefed on the main lines of
activities of METROPOL Group, including its Japan-oriented
projects. Yukio Hatoyama took special interest in the project of
the METROPOLIA business district in Moscow to be implemented on the
basis of a master plan developed by the leading Japanese
architectural company Nikken Sekkei. Upon completion of the
meeting, Yukio Hatoyama made a present to М.V. Slipenchuk: a book
entitled Moscow: Megalopolis Transportation Challenges written by
his son, Kiichiro Hatoyama, among other authors. A presentation of
this book for Moscow public had been held the day before.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy of the House of Councilors
of the Japanese Parliament Motoyuki Odachi, who accompanied Yukio
Hatoyama, and METROPOL Group top managers.
