Investment and Financial Company METROPOL is a partner of the professional holiday of the Russian financial community, "Russian Financier’s Day 2011", which will be celebrated on September 8, 2011.
The date of the holiday was chosen on purpose: on that very day in 1802, Emperor Alexander I signed an imperial proclamation on the establishment of the Ministry of Finance of Russia. 209 years later, in August 2011, a decree of the Russian President Dmitry Medvedev established a new professional holiday – Financier’s Day.

Financier’s Day is a reminder of the importance of the financial system in the life of the modern society. Mikhail Slipenchuk, General Director of Investment and Financial Company METROPOL, who is a member of the festival organizing committee, is positive: "Our job is like martial arts: acting within the rules, the financier must control the situation and calculate future moves instantly. Only a professional can do it".

The successful functioning of the financial system depends primarily on the competence of specialists who are involved in it. That's why on this day a campaign "The Day of Financial Literacy," will take place in schools, colleges and universities, in which the experts of the financial market will hold lectures, open classes, workshops and business games for students. This campaign will take place in Moscow and other major cities of Russia.

The specialists of Investment and Financial Company METROPOL take active part in this campaign: Chief Executive Officer Aleksey Rodzyanko will hold a seminar in the Russian Plekhanov Academy of Economics; head of the department of analysis of debt instruments and derivatives Pyotr Kadysh - in the Moscow Academy of Economics and Law; head of the department of debt capital Semen Odintsov - at the State University of Management; director of the department of debt capital markets Vladimir Kutsev - the Russian State University of Innovative Technologies and Entrepreneurship.
Within the framework of the holiday it is also planned to hold the gala dinner reception and award ceremony "Reputation of the Year". The Great Academic Hall of the Russian Academy of Sciences will gather over 1,000 senior representatives of the financial community in Russia.
