Head of METROPOL Group of Companies Mikhail Slipenchuk Awarded PERSON OF THE YEAR in Nomination Businessman of the Year

Head of METROPOL Group of Companies Mikhail Slipenchuk became the winner of the annual international award PERSON OF THE YEAR in one of the most prestigious nominations - Businessman of the Year. The award “for achievements in realization of innovative regional and international projects” was presented to him at the ceremony that took place in Moscow on February 24. M.V. Slipenchuk expressed his gratitude to the Expert Council – consisting of politicians, statesmen, journalists, public figures, Russian business elite, and Russian and foreign mass media – for such a high award, noting the “responsibility that comes with it” and wished all those present health and prosperity.
The international award Person of the Year was established by RBC Group in 2001. The main goal of the award is to draw attention to people who have made the most visible influence on the development of the country, to encourage their activity for the benefit of Russia.
Over the 11 years of its existence, the award has gained wide acceptance in the society. Today it is presented in 25 nominations. In different years the winners were: Vladimir Yakunin, Sergey Mironov, Alexander Zhukov, Dmitry Medvedev, Sergey Lavrov, Galina Vishnevskaya, Arkady Dvorkovich, Dmitry Zelenin, Aleksey Miller, Sergey Stepashin, Vladimir Resin, Viktor Sadovnichy, Tatiana Tarasova and many other eminent representatives of the Russian political, social and business elite.
