NewsMay 18, 2005 IFC METROPOL a nominee of «The Breakthrough of the Year» categoryInvestment Financial Company “METROPOL” has been nominated for “the Breakthrough of the Year” category of the national competition, “The Elite of the Stock Market 2004”. The company was noted for opening its office in Tokyo, Japan, in 2004. IFC METROPOL was the first Russian company to register its office in Japan, thereby facilitating the relationship between the Russian and Japanese business communities. The annual competition is held by the National Association of Stock Market Participants (NAUFOR) – the largest self-regulatory organisation in the Russian securities market. The competition aims to raise publicity for the Russian stock market, to support and promote securities market participants, and to boost expertise in the stock market. The national jury that will choose a winner is comprised of renowned experts of the Russian financial market whose professional activities are closely connected with the domestic securities market.
