First Russian-Vietnamese Business Council meeting to be held

On February 6th the first Russian -Vietnamese Business Council (RVDS) meeting was held in the Russian Chamber of Commerce Hall for Presidium Conventions. The meeting was presided by the Chairman of the Russian Part of the Council М.V. Slipenchuk. The assistance list comprised a number of institutions’ representatives, to name: Russian Chamber of Commerce, IFC METROPOL, Eastern Siberia Metals Corporation, VTB and Obibank, Interregional Investment Bank, Mivitrans-Logistics and Atomstroyexport.
The meeting established Council’s directing bodies and Charter. The Central Bank of Russia's vice president V.N. Melnikov was elected as Honorary Chairman of RVDS.
The meeting reviewed and ratified Council’s agenda for the first semester of 2008. In particular, a visit by М.V. Slipenchuk to Vietnam is scheduled in March to establish operating contacts with RVDS’s Vietnamese part.
