Representatives of METROPOL Group, Japan’s Sekisui House Ltd. and Administration of Tver Region held a working meeting
On July 9 Tver Region Governor D. Zelenin, delegation of
METROPOL Group headed by M. Slipenchuk and representatives of
Japan’s Sekisui House Ltd. held a working meeting. The meeting
discussed the potential construction of a timber house
manufacturing enterprise in the Tver Region. In order to better
familiarize themselves with the possibilities of creating of an
enterprise on the territory of the Mikhailovskoye industrial site
(Tver Region), the meeting’s participants visited the potential
construction site.
D. Zelenin noted that the Tver Region holds a leading position in
central Russia in the forest management and woodworking fields. For
their part, representatives of METROPOL Group and Sekisui House
Ltd. reported their interest in setting up a timber house
manufacturing enterprise in the region. Such a test sample facility
will appear in the Moscow Region later this year.
The Japanese specialists noted that setting up an enterprise in the
Tver Region was their preferred option due to the region’s
geographic location and the administration’s efforts to create a
favorable investment climate.
Established in 1960, Sekisui House Ltd. is one of the largest
construction companies in Japan. The company specializes in the
construction of various types of residential housing and commercial
real estate.
