METROPOL Group, one of the biggest investors of the economy of the Republic of Buryatya, plans to invest in creating of the tourist and recreation zone on Baykal $ 6 billion

The direct management of the project will be executed by “MVS Development” the daughter enterprise of the corporation “Metals of the Eastern Siberia”
The ministry of the economical development of Russia approved the creation of 7 tourist-recreational zones. The criterions of the selection of the regions became availability of business development in region, quantity of potential investors and residents and creation of new workplaces. The special staff which will coordinate the work on creating the tourist zone will be headed by the president of republic Leonid Potapov. The zones on Baikal will borrow the area in 700 km2 in 150 - 180 km from the capital Ulan-Ude. The resorts, the centers mountain-skiing and boating will enter into it.
